| This section is devoted to Access strategies that can be briefly explained. The
"tips" include shortcuts I have found useful or answers to questions frequently
asked by my students. Perhaps they may be of use to you too. If you have a question you think can be answered in a brief space, please contact us. If possible, and dependent upon the amount of time available, we will either provide an answer or refer you to where an answer can be found. The information provided in these tips is intended to suggest ideas you can experiment
with and the examples are hypothetical. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and
reliability of your own databases and should use the information in these tips at your own

| You have a combo box on a customer form that shows a drop-down list of customers. After you enter a new customer, the combo box does not show the customer in its list unless you close and reopen the form. Doing so is a pain in the neck. (Revised 11/18/03) | |
